Hi there! I’m Mandy Ellis. I’m an Austin-based freelance writer who’s ridden the ride that’s a freelance writing business for the last seven years. I’ve worked part-time with a full-time job, then jumped into 24/7 freelancing. Burnout, feast and famine, mentorship, courses, books, anxiety, bylines, cover stories, clients big and small, and money woes and wins have been part of my journey to now paying all my family’s bills with my freelance writing income.
On the personal side, I’m obsessed with my puppers (Bo and Charlotte, they have many nicknames as well), and biscuits. Yes, I will leave my house at night to go on a biscuit run. And yes, I will crawl under the covers with my dogs multiple times per day...they just look so ready to be snuggled.
